There is an article that is really worth reading over at http://www.vnode.ch/fixing_seekdir, where the author hunts down a 25 year old bug that causes seekdir() to fail to seek to the right position, an issue Samba have been seeing for some years.

Additionally, I tip my hat to Marc Balmer. It’s been a while since i’ve read something that i’ve enjoyed as much.

His writing is with such clarity, that you just can’t help but enjoy it. Kudos, Marc.
